Carter got a twin "big boy bed" on Sunday and has been sleeping in it ever since Monday at nap time. For now the crib and his twin bed are both in Carter's room. Hailey got a new white twin bed, so she gave her brown wood one to Carter.
Monday, Carter started wearing some big boy underwear. That first day was pretty unsuccessful. He only had three separate pairs, so once they had all been wet, we were finished trying for the day. Then today, he finally got a little bit of pee pee to fall out in the potty! Then he had dry pants for hours and went pee pee on the potty five times in total today! four of which were as he'll tell you "a lot, a lot, a lot of pee pee!" He would have done more, but we had to leave the house. He wore a pull-up (with pink fairies on it) but didn't really want to have anything to do with going potty in a public bathroom! I think he actually made the connection today because 3 of the 5 times he went potty he ran and sat on it all by himself. :) I hope I don't jinx myself by being so excited for our progress. He is very proud of himself and I am even more proud of him! Hailey is good at encouraging him too, but mostly the M&M's are her motivation. Like mother like daughter I guess. :)
